Volantexrc PhoenixS 742-7 4 Channel 1600mm Wingspan EPO RC Airplane with Streamline ABS Plastic Fuselage KIT/PNP

This is the best flying volantex ive found. Was missing the battery tray so i printed one. I used the same motor thats in my asw28. With Inav, 2200 4s and some fpv gear im able to fly under throttle for 18 minutes pulling about 4 amps. This plane doesnt care about wind. 30mph gusts and im a mile out sloping. Thermals pretty good too.

I received the product in very good condition, and slightly faster than the delivery time predicted by the supplier.The quality of the product is good with small exceptions the quality of the threads in the spinner and in the hinges of the folding blades of the propeller.The assembly is easy and straightforward.The use of a 10X6 propeller for this model and this engine is problematic. I found in the static thrust tests at full throttle the engine overheating. I have ordered a folding propeller with 9X5 pitch to replace the existing one.I improved the cooling of the engine drilling holes behind the spinner in the front bulkhead, in the plastic base of the electric motor. Also, I added washers to the screws to give air to the engine behind the front bulkhead.As a precaution, and until the receipt of the 9X5 folded prop, I fly this model with a stop on the throttle movement at roughly 67%, avoiding excessive overheating of the motor. The thrust is more than enough in this position to climb the model up to 45 degrees.The model flies level at 30% throttle. The quality of flight of this model is very good. It flies nice and smoothly with very good and forgiving behavior. Smoth stalls without dangerous auto-rotation. Very controllable. Recommended for beginners with the suggested improvements.

Fantastic fun aircraft!Highly recommended.You only need a cheap 2212 motor; 1000kv on 3s or 1400-1500kv on 2s and 4 x MG90s or similar plus a Rx and cheap ESC. Lighter and sleeker than the original *** Note: the kits sold on are missing the vital plywood battery tray and 6 mounting screws. We had to make our own trays and scrounge some suitable screws, which was a quite a nuisance.I have notified Banggood but silence was the only reply.I suggest you demand Banggood check your order before they send it. Kit delivered with simple packing but luckily arrived without damage. Content ok, easy to assemble and a lot of space available, the only flaw is missing the wooden pianet for the battery, which is to build (instead is installed the wooden support for the receiver). Nothing too complicated but it would cost very little to add the original wooden top installed on the RTF version as standard to the kit. Slightly heavy (especially the fuselage for the type of plastic used) so it launches well to full motor and keeps the direction well, once brought to altitude it flies well and precise by means of an engine but when you take off throttle it sails with an efficiency that seems not exceptional. Tried in winter with cold air, to check how it behaves in summer with more intense thermals.Tried with a 3s 1300Ah but there is room for much larger batteries (obviously increasing the weight and then losing other efficiency in gliding). All in all, a nice kit to confirm the many positive opinions.Probably the two larger versions sail better, but this is more agile both in flight and for transport, as it can still get in the car without having to disassemble the wings.

Quick delivery, very good package, no damage to the model. About the model: material seems of good quality, no missing any component in the box, very nice design and super easy to assemble.Some Cons: metal square section spars make wings too heavy, also the spar crossing the fusolage could be made of alluminum rather steel. I bought PNP and even not still tested, i thing the combination motor-esc-propeller is not too appropriate for the size of the model. I changed the prop from original 10 inches to smaller 8x6 prop in order to use 3S battery and to avoid the risk of burning the esc. I will see during maiden .In any case an highly reccomended model, so 5 stars

I bought this plane as a hang glider. It is a typical Volantex-RC glider. The fuselage is extremely stable and the assembly on site is a matter of 1-2 minutes without screws. The whole plane like the others also very sturdy and sturdy!The interior is very well thought out because you have a lot of space for the battery and a separate mounting area for the receiver.I also have the Volantex Phoenix V2 (2m) and the Volantex Phoenix 2400. All of them are perfect gliders!

Great little foam motor glider. Easy to fly and does what it says on the box. Setup is simple and fast.If you're new to RC flying though, be aware that the instructions do not completely cover everything thoroughly. You may need help from experienced modelers. Importantly, the instructions say that it can use a 3S Li-po battery, but it's too much for the motor.

High Quality Volantex model. Easy assembly. Note: USE ONLY 2cell 2200 mah battery to avoid damage to ESC or motor. I read Andrew Newtons review and saved a lot of headaches! With the 2cell 2200, model is very docile and predictable, has plenty of power and all in all flys very well. For some reason no mention of battery size is included in the assembly manual This model is easier to transport than my Phoenix 2400 yet is every bit as capable. Thermals very easily and is a joy to fly.( I did find it necessary to add 1 ounce of weight to the nose due to lighter 2cell 2200 battery) Am very satisfied with purchase.
